TREON079
Pretty Dark Soul is a collection of three radio sessions by Jeff Buckley, taken from 1994 and 1995.

Notes:
The sound quality varies here due to the archive nature of the source material. There are quite a few clicks and skips here and there which is why these sessions didn't make it in to my "Asking To Stay" collection. I have left these sessions complete as it's always great to hear interviews and playful banter from Jeff and the band.

TREON080
Oasis perform live at the Glastonbury Festival on the 23rd June 1995.

Notes:
Here we have the full concert of Oasis live at Glastonbury on June 23rd, 1995, which happened to be the first gig with new drummer Alan White. The set includes a mixture of songs from their debut, Definitely Maybe, and from their follow-up, (What’s The Story) Morning Glory, which was released almost four months after this appearance.
Their Glastonbury appearance marks the first live performances of what would become two of their definitive songs, Morning Glory and Roll With It (the latter of which was at the forefront of that summer’s much-hyped Britpop wars). It is also the introduction of ‘The Swamp Song’ and Hello. Also, notably, this appearance marks the first electric performance of Don’t Look Back In Anger.

Tracklist:
01 - The Swamp Song
02 - Acquiesce
03 - (Banter)
04 - Supersonic
05 - Hello
06 - Some Might Say

These are the same radio sessions found on the Asking To Stay... collection but this time all the interview segments have been left in. The Seahorses: Minus Blue (Unreleased Album Sessions)

$

TREON082
The Seahorses had a lot of success with their debut album "Do It Yourself". It reached No2 in the UK album charts in May 1997 and would produce three top 20 singles but dispite the stand alone single "You Can Talk To Me" also getting top 20 status (reaching 15) there would be no more official releases from the band.

In January 1999 the band began recording their second album (under the working title of Minus Blue/Motocade) at the Olympic Studios with producer David Bottrill but the sessions were abandoned after guitarist and songwriter John Squire walked out of the studio and didn't return. The band's split was officially announced on 23rd January 1999, with a press release citing musical differences. It would later become apparant that it was tensions between lead singer and songwriter Chris Helm and Squire that came to a head which lead to the walkout and the end of The Seahorses.

Check out this great interviewwith lead-singer Chris Helme about his time with the band and his working relationship with John Squire.

Notes:
Way back in 2005 I purchased a CD-r of 10 tracks from the unreleased 2nd album sessions from a friend of a friend. I have no idea where these tracks were sourced but they do appear to be slightly different source than the tracks found on john-squire.com but I do wonder if that is simply down to differing compression rates. After comparing the two sources I decided to use the mp3 source as the base for my "remaster" as the CD-r source definitely sounded softer to my ears.

Tracklist:

01 - Night Train
02 - 700 Horses
03 - Anamorphosis
04 - I Want You
05 - Cocksucker Blues
06 - Reach Out

Jeff Buckley: The Velvet Jungle

TREON085
The Velvet Jungle session was recorded in the Europe 1 Radio Studio on the 15th February 1995 and broadcasted a few days later on a Arte TV (a German/French channel) with the title 'Top Live'. Some of this set was also rebroadcast some years later on a French Cable TV channel ('Paris Première') as part of the the 'Velvet Jungle' show.

Notes:
Originally sourced from the "Black Session" bootleg and then declipped and cleaned up to improve the sound. Although the result is a slightly warmer and richer, the overall sound is still a little flat for me and it does sound a little muddy at certain points due to the TV broadcast source. That being said this is still a very good recording that's well worth a listen.

TREON088
The Standing On The Shoulder Of Giants Sessions is a collection of demo recordings, b-sides, promo tracks and other rarities from Oasis.

Notes:
These songs were recorded in Noel’s home studio at Supernova Heights and at Wheeler End Studios with the assistance of Mark Coyle and Paul Stacey between 1998 and early 1999.  All tracks are sung by Noel with the exception of Little James which is sung by Liam.

“The thing about Standing on the Shoulder of Giants is that I had a full year to sit in my 16-track bedroom studio with an engineer friend and make demos, whereas the demo sessions for Be Here Now were finished in two weeks and they were really rough. We didn’t bother about what sounds we were going to use, or the arrangements, or anything. I thought, “We’ll work all that out when we get to the studio.”  This time, however, I had basically done the album twice before it even got to the band. I had written and recorded the songs on a little Walkman, and then I demoed the tracks on ADATs in my bedroom. And we ended up using a lot of stuff from the demos on the actual record because the demos were that good.”Noel Gallagher,  guitarplayer.com, 2000

Noel recording demos at Wheeler End Studios
15 tracks were leaked onto the Internet via a private FTP on the 31st January 2000.These songs are known to have been recorded during these demo sessions before the band converged to the south of France with Mark Stent to record the album proper.

Without You & I (aka the Guitar Version) is a new cleaned up version but you can find the original included in the Rarities From N.Y.C compilation.

Jeff Buckley: The Music Faucet 11.10.92 (2016 Remaster)

TREON095
This classic Jeff Buckley performance on The Music Faucet radio show back in 1992 has popped up on a few bootlegs in recent years but it's either been incomplete or had some heavy handed noise reduction applied to it so that the sound quality is compromised. I attempted a clean-up in 2014 (Find it here) but I only releases the songs. This time I've gone back to the original source file and redone the clean up and (using the official release of Satisfied Mind as a guide) I've speed corrected the whole performance.

The archive nature of the source means that this will never sound as good as an official release but I hope that what I've done here will be a step closer to hearing what an official release may sound like. You can listen to a sample of what I've done here on Soundcloud.
