TREON105
The Complete 2CD Rooftop Concert by The Beatles is a 1999 unofficial release from Yellow Dog Records.

Notes:
The first release of all the sound captured by all the cameras filming the Apple rooftop concert of January 30, 1969. Some are on the roof, others are down in Savile Row, taking reaction shots, and filming from the Apple reception desk.

During the proceedings, The Beatles played a loose rendition of "God Save The Queen" which happened during a tape reel change in the basement studio, so there is no actual recording. It is captured by one of the cameras, and presented here for the first time.

Oasis perform live at the G-Mex Centre in Manchester on the 14th December 1997.

Notes:
Taken from the bootleg "Baglim" which is sourced from an excellent FM broadcast. The only alterations I have done is to edit out the fade-out/in where the bootleg goes from CD one to CD two. There was an overlap between these two tracks so nothing was lost in the edit. There was also a click at the end of D'You Know What I Mean? which I removed and I added a little more fade-out at the very end of Acquiesce. Other than that this is as it was on the original bootleg.

TREON110
Demonstration by Denali is a promotional EP consisting of five demo tracks recorded in 2001. Although a small amount of physical copies exist (in the form of a CD-r) the EP was made available to download free from the Jade Tree website in 2005.

Notes:
I discovered Denali back in 2006/7 when I downloaded the track "The Instinct" from a website which had free and legal mp3 downloads of little known artists. I downloaded a bunch tracks from various bands which then lead me on a hunt for more songs and albums from the artists I liked the most. I was able to pick up Denali's albums pretty cheap from Ebay but both of their releases are now available on Youtube to listen too for free (see below).

I think it's fair to say that Denali won't blow your mind but lead singer Maura Davis has a ethereal vocal style which sets them apart from a lot of bands.

Tracklist:
01 - Function
02 - Gunner
03 - You File
04 - Prozac

Jeff Buckley: Live At The Sony Music Conference

TREON112
Two performances from Jeff Buckley at The Sony Music Conference from 1994 and 1993.

Notes:
The date for first performance (9th March 1994) is an educated guess. The conference at the Gleneagles Hotel definitely took place between 7th - 11th of March and as I have seen this performance wrongly labelled as 3rd September (probably down to the different date configuration between Britain and America) I'm guessing this performance is actually from the 9th March.
I only discovered the second performance recently and I can find very little information about it as it isn't even listed on flowersintime.org gigograpy.

Tracklist:

Live at the Gleneagles Hotel (Glasgow, Scotland), 9th March 1994.

Oasis: Live At The Gleneagles Hotel '94

TREON113
Oasis perform live at the Gleneagles Hotel Sony Seminar (Sony Music Conference), Perth, Scotland 9th March 1994.

Notes:
After I downloaded a very poor quality bootleg of this performance I set out to find a higher quality source. I knew that a few of these tracks have been released offically on various formats over the years so I thought my best bet would be to splice the performance together from serveral different sources. I then found an unlisted video on the Oasis Youtube channel which contained an intro (this video can be viewed below). To my surprise the gentleman at the beginning mentions Jeff Buckley when lead me to find out if the Jeff Buckley performance I had from Gleneagles (dated as 3rd September 1994) was in fact from the same Sony Seminar as this one.

This Oasis performance as a history of being misdated. The first instance is the single Live Forever where the live version of Supersonic is simply labelled as "Live April '94". The second example is on the Cigarettes & Alcohol where I Am The Walrus was intentionally mislabelled as Live at Glasgow Cathouse June 94. The performance was actually recorded during a rehearsal for the Gleneagles Hotel appearance but even though the band loved this particular recording they were mortified to learn that it was made during a corporate event. The band instead picked a venue from their tour schedule at which they had performed a similar sounding version, and added crowd noise taken from a Faces bootleg CD, in a bid to make it seem like an authentic tour recording.
I believe that is was this small piece of mis-information lead to the an Amazon Exlusive EP wrongly being dated as June '94. This performance has since been dated as 6th February 1994, which is widely believed to be correct.

Now knowing that not only was Jeff Buckley there at the event but he actually performed just before Oasis did, the 6th February date is thown out of the window as Jeff was in Chicago with his Live At Sin-e tour at that time. I also discovered an artical in Billboard Magazine (dated 23rd April 1994) confirming that the Sony Music Conference that was held at the Gleneagle Hotel occurred between the 7th and the 11th of March. Now came the test; could I find the Oasis performance wrongly labelled as the 3rd September like the Jeff Buckley one... and I did. The 9th March 1994 is still and educated guess but all the evidence seems to point to that date.

It was while searching for date info that I stubbled across a Jeff Buckley performance I had not heard before (posted last week) which was a really exciting find. I also found what you can download below, I'm not sure of its origins but it does appear to be an excellent soundboard recording from a different source than what can be found on official releases.

01 - Intro
02 - Shakermaker
03 - Bring It On Down
04 - Digsy's Dinner

The Verve: The 1990 Wigan Demos

$

TREON118
This is a collection of early demo tracks by the Verve recorded in Wigan during 1990 and 1991.

Notes:
"Verve, from Wigan, in Lancashire, England, formed in 1990.  Richard Ashcroft, Simon Jones, and Peter Salisbury grew up together in Wigan and all attended Upholland High School.  They took in Nick McCabe from Winstanley College.  After seeing Nick play at a college practice room in 1989, Richard described his sound as like "a whole other universe to me".  They played their first show for the birthday of Richard's then flatmate Paul Frodsham at the Honeysuckle pub in Poolstock, Wigan on August 15, 1990.

Verve played two songs, "The Sun, The Sea" and the strangely titled"Your Back".  Verve didn't play for many months and as 1990 ended, Richard rang up his mates.  'Are we in a band or what?' he asked them and made a statement that would take them to the top of the charts in the years to come.  They made a demo tape throughout 1990. Hut scout Miles Leonard remembers, "Their demo was so much better than anything else I was hearing". The band signed to Hut records in September 1991. Verve released three singles in 1992, All in the Mind, She's A Superstar, and Gravity Grave.  They were easily making music years ahead of their time.

This is the 1990 demo recording issued by Verve.  It contains many of the early songs made by the Verve many of which did not make it in either of their first three singles or their first album.  It is a great collection of early Verve songs excellent for the avid Verve fan.  Richard's voice sounds very young.  In reality, this is the very beginning steps for the start of the group. They would later go on to bring the world great music."
